 DAYULING OOLONG 

dayuling teaDAYULING OOLONG - The most coveted Taiwan high mountain oolong redily available and grown at a height of nearly 2700 meters. Handpicked this spring. An organic tea with little production! Located at the Taiwan Hehuan Mountain, intersection of Nantou, Taizhong, Hualian County, 2,565 meters above sea level, it is Taiwan's highest altitude tea production area. It is generally believed that Taiwan's high mountain tea is the best origin. It is often covered in clouds and midst and surrounded by fresh streams and the cool crisp air of the high mountains. Besides its impressional flavour, there is no road access to some of the plant gardens, local farmers have to carry the tea by human labour, there is very limited supply. Tea here is harvested every spring and fall. The fermentation is between 20% and 25%. This tea can be steeped up to 10 times and the leaves and buds are really something to look at when wet. Each time unlocking a unique flavor. The taste is full and smooth, with a fresh orchid finish. A smooth in the throat feeling emerges when the superb tea is enjoyed. What is 105K? 105K refers to Song Lu tea garden located at the north peak of Hehuan Mt. The top elevation here reaches 2565m, the temperature here is quite low all the year and the tea tree is always coated with snow in the winter. The cold temperature makes the tea tree there grow slowly, the abundant environment creates a unique excellent tea. Delicious! Try a Cold Brew. This top grade Formosa oolong is ideal for cold brew. Different from using regular boiling water to make a cup of tea, cold brew is a method adopting cold water to brew the tea. Normally, keeping the tea in cold water for 4 hours will get the same result as brewing it with boiling water for 5 minutes. Lishan is the most renowned name in Taiwan for producing the finest High Mountain Oolong. Because of the high altitude, the tea plants grow up slow, leaf is bigger, quantity is smaller, quality is best. Lishan Tea has a substantial depth of flavor and viscosity to its texture that is produced only from higher elevation tea farms. Li Shan is the highest tea-growing region in Taiwan. Oolong tea plantations lie between 1800 meters and 2650 meters. These altitudes provide ideal conditions for oolong tea. Li Shan has a low temperature year-round with abundant moisture. The higher altitudes see winter snow and even during the spring oolong tea harvest there is a chill in the air. At an altitude of 2600 meters there are only two oolong tea harvests per year. The lower altitudes on Li Shan can produce 2 harvests of oolong tea per year, spring and winter. Compared with the spring crop, the winter one has a longer growth time. GABA is a high-elevation tea (≈1200m). Tea plants at such heights are known to produce very high-quality leaves which are highly sought after. About two weeks prior to plucking, GABA leaves are partially shaded, which causes increased production of glutamic acid.
