Organic Darjeeling Loose TeaMakaibari SFTGFOP 1 Muscatel, 2nd Flush Darjeeling 2012 is our finest Organic Darjeeling Tea! Darjeeling Loose Tea is selected during the tea harvest from April, high in the Himalayan mountains of north India. This higher grown Darjeeling Tea originates from the finest tea garden of the region. Due to it\'s organic farming methods and exceptional flavour, our Darjeeling tea is known as \"the champagne\" of Darjeeling! Having a hint of sweet muscat, this Darjeeling offers up a full meal of biscuits and stir-fry vegetables too! Sure it\'s fruity, but tea connoisseurs will all agree there is much more here to enjoy!
Organic Darjeeling Loose Tea From America's Favorite Online Tea Store®Makaibari Darjeeling is the oldest tea estate within the Darjeeling growing region. The tea is known for its \"Silver Tips\" which are an unmistakable character of this fine Darjeeling. Generally, Silver Tipped Darjeelings look like the Chinese Silver Needle teas. However, the taste is extremely different. Visually as well as aromatically, our teas appearance is Darjeeling Oolong Muscatel to the core. Concerning the specific growing estate, and also the tea developed there, a good elevation of well over 5,000 ft. and a number of ancient Chinese clonal hybrids make the estate a rare gem among the towering mountains. The area is dense forest of pine and hardwood and the leaves are more large than most other Darjeeling estates. Brewing Suggestions: We suggest bringing the water to just below boiling... Approximately 180F. Additionally, we suggest two teaspoons for each 8oz. of water along with a steeping time of 2-3 minutes for the first and second infusions. Tasting Notes: The smell from the juicy and thick, moderate length darkish leaves is actually sweet and musky. The teas liquor is dark golden and coppery orange with a fairly sweet, earthy, tobacco fragrance. The taste becomes extremely fascinating, and very unique in the second infusion. A fruity and citrus component is unique and actually delicious! There tends to be fine citrusy notes which are very pleasant and a flavor that\'s somewhat like pineapple-wood with a particularly juicy, yet smoky and mouth watering finish. The Umami Tea flavor is abundant and clear, which is why the complexity of this tea has all the flavors. The second infusion is not quite as fruity as the first, but the Umami flavor is present and the sweetness lingers slightly. It\'s like you just ate a lollipop and there\'s a shadow memory of the flavor left in your mouth. If you enjoy your tea with the addition of milk and/or sugar, you may want to try one of the lesser costly Darjeelings. I still suggest trying Makaibari Darjeeling loose tea without any additional flavors. You will soon come to understand Darjeeling Tea Benefits and the low Darjeeling Tea Caffeine content. Packaging: Fresh Tea Leaves come in a 1.76 oz 50 grams sealed container. Very limited!
