Bi Luo Chun is a famous green tea originally grown on the Dong Ting mountain of China. It is also known as Pi Lo Chun, depending on where in China you speak of the tea. And it is also referred to as Green Snail tea due to the small snail-like appearance.

There is a Chines tale of a girl in China that was picking tea and she had filled her basket. After she could find nowhere else to stow the freshly picked tea, and rather that walk all the way back to empty the basket and return to picking, she decided to store the tea between her breasts. This gave off a heat to the tea which created an aroma that startled the Chinese girl.

Because of the strong aroma and the spring tea crop picking time, she named the tea scary fragrant tea. Later the Quing Dynasty Emporer visited the area of the famous tea and they renamed it Green Snail Spring Tea. It is regarded as one of the the highest quality teas from China.
